the VCR bill has been pending for nearly a year now and comes into effect on the 1st of October. The bill will ban the sale of imitation firearms to persons under 18.
it is still unsettled as to how airsoft will be governed by the new law but it is intended for all airsoft sites to be registered with UKARA (United Kingdom Airsoft Retailers Assosiation). Each site in turn creates a database of registered players. Each player will need to be registered and become an official member of the site in order to be able to play/purchase airsoft weapons. (this is my understanding anyway!)
our intention is for TBT to become a registered site and we will then setup our own database of players. we can then have our own membership scheme and players will pay a nominal yearly fee.
if this does not go to plan (although i don't see why not!) then i'm sure we could join the CQB Scotland database (as sensi John is a decent bloke!) without too much trouble.
i will post more when i know more.
