MEMBERSHIP!!!!!!!!!hi all,
unless you have been living on the moon you should now be aware that the VCR (Violent Crimes Reduction) bill has been passed by the govement which means we can no longer purchase real imitation firearms (RIFs). the only way now to purcahse a RIF is to become a full member of a UKARA (United Kingdom Airsoft Retailers Association) registred airsoft site.
after numerous phone calls, emails and swear words Team Black Thistle are now registered with UKARA and are recognised as an official club/site.
so players who have already played with us and would like to be registered with us need to fill in a membership form. membership costs £30 for the year.
further information can be obtained from any off the TBT commitee though this forum or at the next game day.

i should have maybe worded it a bit clearer.
players wishing to take part in TBT site games long term must pay the £30 membership fee!!! insurance is not cheap!!!
existing players may play 3 times before joining.
new players MUST play at least 3 times within 2 months before joining.
oh! and smiffy says its "non refundable"!

I think you made a wise choice mutter to go the whole way and I hope your members support you.
You can of course buy RiFs with out being UKARA registered but you would still need to have been a member of a properly insured airsoft club or site and thats the expensive part.
It makes life much easier for everybody ( in my opinion ) if you are register with UKARA.
If you have any problems just let me know McLellan Its a pleasure to deal with a group who don't think its some kind of power trip by the UKARA "Staff" or licence to write money by retailers.
As a note new players need to play a minimum of 3 times in a period of NOT LESS than 2 months.
You can sign up known players who you know have been playing in excess of these figures.
You also have every right to remove players from your membership list which would mean they would be removed from the UKARA database as they would no longer fore fill the governments criteria for a "Skirmisher"
