Lanark CQB reportWell I went and it was an awesome day oot  plenty of buildings of varying sizes and layout from what they called the village (a group of about 14 houses) to one of the main buildings with around 40 rooms and a large mess hall and kitchen
The village scenario was a simple 1 team defend the other attack. The defending team have 1 medic and the attackers had unlimited medics the aim was to clear the village in as short a time as possible.
The large building was the same defend/attack game and also timed room clearance with a small team of 6-8 players against all the rest.
I would say that most of the players were very experienced airsofters the young and the old fogies, games were very fast paced and well organised with some of the best firefights I've been in (me and ma trusty M4 having it out at about 6 feet range with a guy with a saw oh if I'd jist kept that last nade  )
All weapons used on the site were cronod with the AEGs and pistols the usual 330fps +/-10% and sniper rifles being max 500fps one bloke had a G36 firing at 341fps and was promptly told single shot only and the only sniper rifle was shooting at GULP  504fps and he was on my team phew. When it comes down to it range is not an issue at this site compared to the woodland sites and our own site so standard out of the box AEGs are more than adequate.
The organiser John and his team are very welcoming and outgoing (the outgoing bit is a bit of an understatement LOL)and just let me say they know their stuff.
Needless to say guys we need to get our asses up there and show them how good TEAM BLACKTHISTLE are, being on my own I would like to think I held up our end quite well for the day.
